About The Position

The Solutions Architect - Digital Pathology is responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual product sales goals set for the territory, executing product demonstrations for clients, and clearly communicating complex and technical product information as well as technical IT and networking information to a variety of customer stakeholders. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager, is part of the Pathology Imaging Sales team, and will be a field-based role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve as technical expert for digital pathology hardware (scanners) and related software products, achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance, and travel overnight as necessary (estimated at 50%) for all pre- and post-sales activities, such as customer appointments, trade shows and customer training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science (IT or Scientific field preferred) OR equivalent work experience.
  • Diagnostics, Life Science and/or Pathology preferred.
  • Prior capital sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% within territory.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 15 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as technical expert for digital pathology hardware (scanners) and related software products.
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance.
  • Travel overnight as necessary (estimated at 50%) for all pre- and post-sales activities, such as customer appointments, trade shows and customer training.
  • Balance customer call activity between existing customer accounts to expand the current base, meeting with active opportunities and prospecting for new opportunities in the assigned geography.
  • Coordinate sales activities within national, multi-site, laboratory accounts by interacting with other departments in the organization to ensure the proper handling of customer requirements.
  • Complete documentation of Solution Design with key stakeholders to facilitate fast implementation of client orders.
