About the position

As a Solutions Architect (SolArch) at Moody's, you will act as a key technical liaison, developing tailored solutions to meet clients' specific challenges during the pre-sales phase. This role involves leveraging advanced technology to provide cloud-based services and sophisticated software architectures that facilitate business transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of potential clients' business challenges, technical environments, and operational processes.
  • Design strategic solutions that integrate Moody's products or partner solutions, ensuring alignment with the client's vision and goals.
  • Create detailed solution design documents to facilitate alignment with clients' technical and functional requirements.
  • Spearhead the technical aspects of sales engagements, including proof-of-concept execution, data analysis, and customized demonstrations.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the response to technical queries in RFPs and ensure a seamless transition to the Solutions Delivery team for implementation.
  • Collaborate with clients on technical co-design for co-innovation solutions and document standard reference designs to enhance pre-sales efficiency and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for effective hand-off of the documented solution design from Sales to Moody's Solutions Delivery and the client for implementation.
  • Help build business cases for innovated product/data enhancements with Moody's strategy teams.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's, Master's (MSc/MA), or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a PhD or MBA is a plus.
  • Over 12 years of experience in technology solutions, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both C-level executives and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in delivering compelling presentations and demos.
  • Comprehensive understanding of third-party data provider offerings, and the various integration patterns to leverage their data throughout the enterprise including MDM, CRM, ERP and data analytics platforms in the cloud and on-premises.
  • A creative problem solver with a critical thinking mindset, capable of addressing unexpected challenges and identifying new growth and learning opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Experience with complex sales cycles and client relationship management is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
