About The Position

The Solutions Analyst at Northside Hospital is responsible for delivering business intelligence, analytics, and reporting within the Business Intelligence & Data Strategies (BIDS) Department. This role focuses on assisting with data integration and deployment efforts for clinical and financial data repositories, requiring strong technical aptitude and a passion for data analysis.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science/Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 0-2 years related work experience
• Ability to quickly learn and synthesize new technologies
• Aptitude for programming
• Excellent communication, presentation and design skills
• Excellent analytical skills interpreting meaning from data

Nice To Haves

• 1-3 years' experience in a healthcare environment
• Experience and/or coursework related to scripting, programming and automation
• Experience and/or coursework with SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, DOS scripting, and/or other database environments
• Familiarity with MS Visual Studio

Responsibilities

• Collects and defines requirements for reporting and analytical needs.
• Builds and deploys efficient reporting and analytical tools.
• Trains end-users on utilization of reporting and analytical tools.
• Designs, builds and maintains dashboards and scorecards to user and scope specifications.
• Maintains mechanisms to administer manual or automated population of data tables in support of recurring reporting.
• Produces technical documentation for programming and reporting efforts.
• Generates and analyzes data to respond to routine and ad-hoc end user requests.
• Assists with special systems and analytics projects for the Finance Division.
• Identifies opportunities and recommendations for process improvement within the Finance Division, including process automation and data audits.
• Responsible for programming and implementation of said improvements.
