About The Position

The Solution Tester, Hardware role at Glory Global Solutions involves testing and validating hardware and software solutions to ensure they meet customer requirements before mass production and distribution. The position focuses primarily on software but also requires a thorough understanding of hardware interactions. The tester will work closely with development teams to facilitate the delivery and testing of new products, ensuring they function correctly and meet quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or equivalent job experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Technical competency in software configuration and testing.
  • Ability to analyze system requirements and create test plans.
  • Ability to execute test cases once requirements are detailed.
  • Ability to conduct detailed analysis of written documentation.
  • Ability to analyze hardware/software failures and assess risk to product quality.
  • Ability to work independently, planning, organizing, and prioritizing activities to meet schedule.
  • Ability to conduct detailed analysis of trace and log files.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High attention to detail when reading and documenting test plans.
  • Beginner understanding of system model types with ability to troubleshoot 50% of device configurations and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Testing and verifying interoperability for all hardware, software, firmware, digital products, and 3rd party interfaces as individual products.
  • Establishing, tracking, and testing defects and enhancements throughout product lifecycles.
  • Establishing robust test cases and procedures to ensure product meets requirements at both nominal and boundary conditions.
  • Liaising between North American Development, GGS Development, and Test teams to facilitate the definition, delivery and testing of new versions/products prior to release in North America.
  • Certification of new peripheral products as replacements or enhancements to existing designs.
  • Collaboration with training and development groups to ensure proper knowledge transfer for assembly, setup, and operation of realized solutions.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and functional workspace.
  • Create and update internal documentation as needed using the platforms Jira, Arena, SharePoint, etc.
  • Provide direction and guidance as needed during quarterly SW testing to ensure software, databases, and system setups are captured accurately.
  • Peer review and provide formal signoff of solutions for formal customer release.
  • Proactive identification and notification of potential features or improvements, bugs, or other issues.

Benefits

  • Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000, adjusted based on job-related factors.
  • Full-time position with core office hours from 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
