About The Position

HawkSearch is looking for an experienced and engaging Solutions/Sales Engineer with the energy and presence to deliver product demos, build prototypes, and support the Sales and Services team. The role is part of the Product Management organization but works directly with the sales team. You will become an expert on HawkSearch and customer implementations.

Requirements

  • Good presentation skills of SaaS products on Zoom or Teams showing off PPT deck and/or doing live demos
  • Able to understand business and technical questions and answer appropriately
  • Coding/technical background – to answer implementation questions from developers
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in:
  • JavaScript (React or similar framework)
  • Basic HTML/CSS
  • REST APIs and general knowledge of third-party integrations
  • Vector databases, LLMs, general AI knowledge
  • 5 years of experience in software development or presales
  • Able to work in Garden City Long Island office 4 days per week
  • Flexible to travel to conferences/sales opportunities roughly 5 times per year

  • Ability to create demo sites in WordPress

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales on discovery calls and live product demos
  • Build and maintain demo environments and lightweight prototypes
  • Answer technical implementation questions from customer developers
  • Collaborate with Product and Services on customer use cases
  • Provide feedback from the field to Product Management
