The Solution Management team, which is part of the Product group, is responsible for representing Product externally to the rest of BlackLine as well as to customers. The Workday Solution Manager will lead solution positioning and strategy by working closely with our internal team of Product Managers, customers, partners, Workday itself and customer/partner-facing teams to define and build solutions.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the organization on Workday's accounting and finance solutions.
  • Partner with internal teams focused on Workday solutions to develop a vision for optimal integration.
  • Interface with Workday as part of our Innovation Partner relationship.
  • Effectively communicate and advocate the Workday solution strategy and vision.
  • Craft effective go-to-market & product strategies.
  • Assess markets and competition to develop and position our products.
  • Create and manage supporting collateral including strategic plans and marketing plans.
  • Plan and carry out effective product launches, migrations, and/or sunsets.
  • Manage the market performance of products and portfolios.
  • Translate information from across the organization into cohesive decisions.
  • Provide leadership in customer events and workshops.
  • Partner with various teams to lead discovery and innovation processes.
  • Define initiative success criteria and business metrics to measure results.
  • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Workday Enterprise Management Cloud.
  • 8+ years of experience in a Senior Manager role in Accounting/Controller, Product Manager, or Solution Manager.
  • Deep understanding of accounting & finance workflows.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Workday Enterprise Management Cloud.
  • Advanced work management skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
  • Experience with product management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with Outcome Driven Innovation and JTBD.
  • Knowledge of modern web application architecture and engineering patterns.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies.
