About The Position

We are seeking an Epic Application Analyst for the following applications: Hospital Billing with HB Admin Certification Required. Epic Build experience required. The Epic Applications Analyst role involves implementing, developing, and maintaining the Epic system and associated third-party systems. Analysts work at various levels, from entry-level (I) to expert (IV), with increasing responsibilities and independence. They provide on-call support, interact with clients, and ensure compliance with software lifecycle standards. As they progress, they gain deeper knowledge of the Epic platform, mentor junior analysts, and lead projects to improve patient safety and quality initiatives. The role requires strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to build partnerships with customers and colleagues at all levels.

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree or combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
  • Training in, or demonstrated aptitude in analytical abilities required as appropriate for role area.
  • Experience as analyst implementing and testing vendor packaged software applications OR healthcare operational experience in area of application preferred or required depending on Analyst level.
  • Prior Epic experience (end user or analyst) is required.
  • Current Epic training status (certification, accreditation, and/or proficiency) in primary application required for Analyst levels 2-4.
  • Strong experience as analyst with expert knowledge and experience in leading system analysis with special emphasis on system methodologies, projects management and business process reengineering related to information systems required.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Active vendor training status required.
  • Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities and rapidly changing situations.
  • Must be able to complete work through continuous use of a computer to perform job responsibilities.
  • Must be able to communicate frequently and effectively with others verbally, in writing, and by virtual meetings.

  • Create and maintain thorough documentation, develop test scripts, and ensure builds meet departmental standards and end user approval.
