About The Position

Elsight is at the forefront of secure, real-time connectivity for uncrewed systems. Our Halo platform- integrating advanced hardware, software, and cloud technology- is already proven in mission-critical global deployments. As we rapidly expand in the U.S., we're looking for a high-impact Field Application Engineer who bridges deep technical expertise with strong sales engineering skills. This pivotal, customer-facing role focuses on 60% go-to-market and sales acceleration alongside 40% hands-on technical execution. Candidates with U.S. military/defense experience, robust networking expertise, and active (or eligible) security clearances will have a distinct advantage due to the sensitive nature of our applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5+ years in a Sales Engineer role (or equivalent pre/post-sales technical position) with a proven history of influencing deals and driving revenue.
  • Advanced networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VPNs, routing/switching, NAT, cellular behaviors, link bonding/aggregation, and troubleshooting in deployed IP environments. Field integration experience with communications systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong Linux proficiency, shell scripting, and at least 2 years of hands-on Python for automation and integration tasks.
  • Superior presentation and communication abilities—capable of distilling complex technical details for diverse audiences (fluent English required).
  • Energetic, results-oriented mindset with full ownership; excels in dynamic settings, extensive travel, and both independent and collaborative work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting U.S. DoD, prime contractors, or uncrewed systems (UxS)/aviation programs.
  • Prior military service in communications, intelligence, avionics, networking, or UAS roles is particularly valued.
  • Current U.S. security clearance (Secret or higher) or clear eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Development to advance opportunities: deliver high-impact demos, proofs-of-concept (PoCs), technical presentations, and customized solution proposals.
  • Drive customer adoption through on-site engagements, including training, system integrations, and support across the U.S. and internationally (up to 50% travel).
  • Develop Python/Bash scripts and automation tools to streamline integrations and resolve complex customer challenges efficiently.
  • Capture field insights to inform Product and R&D roadmaps while identifying upsell and expansion opportunities.
  • Lead the technical sales cycle end-to-end—from discovery and solution design to post-sale onboarding and ongoing success.
