About this role:
RetSci is seeking a motivated and passionate Solution Consultant to join our fast growing
Delivery team.
This team member will become an expert in our vendor partners software product offering and
assist with configuring and delivering their solutions to our customers. Day-to-day work will
involve participating in design sessions, gathering and documenting technical and/or
configuration requirements, configuring the solution based on the client requirements, testing
the solution, and supporting our customers as they adopt the solution.

Our team implements solutions to help retailers with the following processes:

• Forecasting
• Replenishment
• Allocation
•Assortment Planning
• Merchandise Financial Planning
• Location Planning

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail, focus, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with excel or excel type solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
• An ability to create and maintain strong cross-functional internal and client relationships through use of effective communication skills, having empathy, and being approachable
• A collaborative attitude and working style, willingness to share and use the best ideas
• The ability to be creative while also working towards goals and timelines
• The ability to lead projects and work with minimal supervision
• Bachelor's degree with excellent academics in business or technology disciplines (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science)
• 3-5+ years of consulting or process design and requirements gathering for software delivery, or 3+ years working for a retailer in planning, buying, allocation, or forecasting

Nice To Haves

• Experience with RELEX solutions or Oracle retail analytics solutions
• Experience in retail
• PL/SQL experience
• Experience leading projects and managing timelines/resources/financials

Responsibilities

• Participate in client design workshops and document technical requirements and solution design requirements
• Communicate with our client IT teams various needs as it relates to data and interfaces
• Understand retail data and concepts
• Become an expert in the solution(s) you implement
• Prototype the solution and present to the client to help them understand how they will use the tool
• Look for creative solutions to solve complex problems to optimize the performance of the tool
