Responsibilities What you'll be able to do: Solution Architect - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Collaborate with the business to understand the business strategy and translate it to an executable set of opportunities with defined business value. Develop business centric SMART opportunities as input to future delivery candidates to enable the business strategy. Partner with the business in the development of key business architecture assets to establish a core set of information for the business to use in decision making (focus on the following domains: capability, value streams, information, organization, and strategy mapping). Use information provided through these key assets to provide strategic analysis and insights to the business regarding options available to them across the enterprise. Ensure partner input/feedback is addressed while providing objectively sourced opportunities to the business. Provide consulting and leadership to solve various business scenarios supported through business architecture. Communicate highly technical aspects of architecture and integration in a customer consulting setting to both technical and business audiences in a written and oral manner. Wrangle data from a variety of sources, mostly Data Platform/ IT Data Hub in BigQuery, and write code for building and testing tables for analytical solutions and transforming structured and unstructured data into tables and views for dashboards and presentations. Pair with architects to ensure alignment of the Enterprise Architecture Models. Assist in development of communications and/or training material for architects and other stakeholders. Communicate architectural requirements to Product Group, Product Line, or Product Team. Maintain the data and relationships in the defined Business Architecture Knowledgebase. Influence and Support the Enterprise Architecture organization on best practices in Business Architecture. Support efforts of Architecture Management in driving and maintaining standards and data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Management or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Management or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
  • 2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Transforming data into actionable information utilizing Qlik and Power BI.
  • Building and testing tables to use as underlying data for analytical solutions using SQL, DAX, Big Query (for GCP) and Python.
  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Leveraging Power Pivot, VBA and the statistical extension to perform analysis to target and forecast with a high degree of confidence.
  • Utilizing Alteryx to blend sources from across the enterprise to build tables and views that enable enterprise-wide dashboards and technical power points.
  • Enterprise architect skills across the four architecture building blocks (Business, Information, Application and Technology).
  • Using Big Query for Landing and pulling data from a centralized “IT Data Hub” to build analytics solutions.
  • Python for data analysis (used to gather, manipulate, and analyze data to extract meaningful business insights) and data visualization (using raw or cleaned data).
  • Position requires the following Certifications:
  • Data Mining and Data Visualization.
  • Project Management.
