Come join us! Available Locations: Toronto, Canada or Austin, TX Role Summary We are looking for a strong candidate to join our team as part of the Finance & Business Operations Organization. As a key team member of a high-visibility organization, this role will provide both technical and operational support to Cloudflare’s Global Commissions Tooling & Strategy.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, or Systems Administration, preferably within a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience configuring Varicent (or a similar enterprise ICM tool like Anaplan/Xactly), including component building, scheduler management, and calculation logic.
  • Firm grasp of end-to-end commission processes, including plan document tracking, transaction crediting, complex incentive calculations, and dispute resolution.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write queries for data analysis and troubleshooting. Experience handling large, complex datasets is required.
  • Analytical & Detailed: Clear, concise communicator; A natural problem solver with high attention to detail, capable of troubleshooting complex data discrepancies and validating calculations before they impact the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry Context: Experience with a SaaS business model.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Prior experience working in the SaaS, Cybersecurity, or Cloud Infrastructure space, with familiarity with usage-based or consumption-based compensation models.
  • Advanced Data Handling: Experience working with large-scale, complex datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure Varicent compensation models and calculation logic.
  • Act as the primary technical builder for system enhancements, ensuring all plans are set up accurately and on time.
  • Identify and implement best practice configurations and build techniques, optimizing for scalability and usability while ensuring solutions align with stakeholder needs.
  • Plan and execute end-to-end testing (QA/UAT) for all system changes. You will be responsible for identifying bugs, validating fixes, and ensuring error-free deployments.
  • Review and analyze application performance, to provide enhancement recommendations and process improvements.
  • Provide risk assessment for new functionality and enhancements.
  • Build extensive solution / process documentation and enablement infrastructure, scaling consistent practices, documentation and desktop procedures for tool functionality
  • Build deep knowledge around and leverage relationships to influence outcomes and prioritization of upstream system enhancements which directly impact ICM practice
  • Monitor data flows between upstream systems (CRM, HCM) and Varicent. Troubleshoot integration errors and collaborate with IT/Data teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Task Management & Delivery: Independently manage your own project timelines and priorities. You will be expected to balance daily support tickets with larger system builds, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal oversight.
