The solution architect plays a pivotal role in addressing complex healthcare challenges met by leveraging Health Catalyst tools and solutions. Working closely with the Growth team and sales leaders, you will engage prospects to understand their unique healthcare data and analytics needs. You will educate prospects and clients on the Health Catalyst capabilities, industry trends, and best practices. Through discovery sessions, you will gain a deep understanding of each organization’s data and analytics requirements and leverage that insight to lead in-depth discussions and deliver tailored demonstrations of Health Catalyst tools and solutions. Your goal is to showcase Health Catalyst’s ROI and value and help convert prospects into long-term customers. Beyond the sales process, you will build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to expand Health Catalyst’s impact. Internally, you will collaborate regularly with Product, Marketing, Sales and other teams to maintain a deep understanding of the technology and ensure alignment between product capabilities and client needs.

Requirements

  • A Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and current trends in healthcare transformation.
  • Experience with Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, cloud data architecture.
  • Experience with one or more modern advanced analytics tools for machine learning / AI applications (for example Spark, Databricks, Python, R, etc.).
  • Knowledge and experience working with healthcare sources such as clinical and claims data.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly those relevant to translating highly technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales and other business unit and other leaders in the organization.
  • Ability to host and command conversations with similar peers and C-level audiences (CIO, CMIO, CAO, CMO, CQO).
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related area (data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, etc.).
  • 5+ years’ experience in healthcare data, analytics, and technology understanding the needs in healthcare technology.
  • The ability to map technical solutions to customer business requirements.
  • Outstanding communications: verbal, written and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to details.
  • Maintain compliance with training directives required by the organization pertaining to Information Security, Acceptable Use Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security.
  • Adhere to and comply with the organizations Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Safeguard information system assets by identifying and reporting potential and actual security events to the organizations Security and Compliance Officers.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years a Pre-Sales, Sales Engineer or Solution Architect, or other client facing role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be focused on bringing Health Catalyst’s deep expertise to healthcare systems which include clinics, hospital systems, ACOs and Payer organizations.
  • Provide deep technical and solution expertise throughout the sales process and qualify new opportunities with sales leaders.
  • Partner with the sales leaders and engage with them regularly on sales activities both prospective and current clients.
  • You will be a technical and solution expert on Health Catalyst tools and implementation strategies.
  • Participate in the proposal strategy for RFP/RFI responses.
  • Listen, understand, and analyze the prospect’s business requirements and compose, validate, and present the Health Catalyst Ignite platform.
  • Prepare and present customer-centric presentations and product demonstrations educating the prospect of the Health Catalyst way while fielding prospect’s questions and concerns.
  • Align with Solutioning Team on opportunities to appropriate solution opportunities.
  • Work hand in hand with our technical demo team to improve demo solutions and presentations.
  • During the sales cycle and after the sale is complete, collaborate with our client delivery organization for an effective and successful implementation kickoff.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other team members on a regular basis to provide product, prospect, and user feedback to the product management organization in effort to improve and expand the Health Catalyst portfolio of products.
  • Stay current on Health Catalyst Ignite platform, implementation and delivery by working closely with technical BUs, attend appropriate internal team meetings within key BUs.
  • Understand Health Catalyst vision, market need, solutions value proposition, and functionality and interoperability.
