The Position Roche Molecular Systems, Inc. seeks a Solution Architect at its Pleasanton, CA location. Duties: Assess systems architecture, working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it. Install and support statistical computing environment products on OS platforms. Perform server, User, and EBI platform administration, including implementation, configuration, upgrade, migration, maintenance, coordination, problem resolution, testing, usage and performance monitoring and the design/development of SAS system infrastructures. Align servers across Business units using applicable security infrastructure and the systems and processes with tactical and strategic information management initiatives. Analyze current IT and SAS technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve them. Monitor progress of initiatives and provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions for smooth functioning within the department. Build and integrate information systems. Assist with capacity and disaster recovery planning and execution. Perform and schedule regular backups of the servers and physical files and implement best practices for backup processes. Telecommuting is permitted full-time from anywhere in the US. Education and experience required: 10 years of experience in the job offered or as Solution Architect, SAS System Administrator, System Analyst, or related role Alternative education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or as Solution Architect, SAS System Administrator, System Analyst, or related role Special Requirements: Must have 6 years of experience with each of the following: Linux and Windows Operating system(s), memory management, file system architecture; Configure servers to align with functional specifications, ensuring optimal performance and security; Define and analyze objectives, scope, issues, and the organizational impact of information systems to support efficient decision-making and business operations; SAS Application memory management, Application architecture, Installing and configuring; SAS Application migrations and software licensing; SAS EG, SAS Add-in, SAS Studio, Base SAS, SAS/Macros, SAS/Access, SAS/Connect; JIRA, Agile project management and ServiceNow; Change management and version control in the lifecycle of software environment; SAS Management Console (SMC) Window and Linux Job scheduler, user and access management. Certification required for this position: SAS Certified Base Programmer SAS Certified Advanced Programmer The expected annual salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of California is $179,016 to $210,500 per year. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in the job offered or as Solution Architect, SAS System Administrator, System Analyst, or related role
