About The Position

The Solution Architect, Enterprise Systems is a senior, client‑facing technical leader responsible for designing and guiding integrated, end‑to-end enterprise solutions across complex application and data landscapes. This role focuses on system integration, interoperability, and architectural coherence, ensuring business processes, platforms, and data work together reliably at enterprise scale. The Solution Architect partners closely with Sales, Engineering, and Delivery teams from presales through execution, translating business objectives into pragmatic integrated architectures while maintaining architectural integrity throughout delivery.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in solution architecture, integration architecture, or senior technical leadership roles
  • Consulting or professional services background
  • Experience working within architecture governance or design authority models
  • Deep experience designing enterprise system integration architectures
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Application and data integration patterns
  • API design, messaging, and event‑driven architectures
  • Enterprise data movement and synchronization strategies
  • Experience integrating platforms such as ERP, CRM, custom applications, and data platforms
  • Ability to bridge business processes and technical execution across multiple systems
  • Strong executive‑level communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Define end‑to-end solution architectures that span multiple systems, platforms, and vendors, with a strong emphasis on integration and interoperability
  • Make architectural decisions across application integration, data movement, identity, security, error handling, resiliency, and operational monitoring
  • Design architectures that support business process orchestration, system decoupling, and long‑term maintainability
  • Establish integration standards, patterns, and guardrails aligned with Hitachi Solutions and industry best practices
  • System Integration & Interoperability
  • Lead the design of integration architectures using APIs, event‑driven patterns, messaging, and data synchronization approaches
  • Define integration strategies across ERP, CRM, custom applications, data platforms, and third-party systems
  • Address common enterprise integration challenges including data consistency, latency, failure handling, and versioning
  • Ensure integrations are designed for scalability, reliability, observability, and supportability
  • Data & Process Alignment
  • Design data flows and integration patterns that enable consistent, trusted data across systems
  • Partner with business and functional stakeholders to align end‑to-end business processes across applications
  • Ensure integration architectures support reporting, analytics, and downstream consumption needs
  • Balance real‑time, near‑real‑time, and batch integration approaches based on business requirements
  • Software Engineering & Delivery Alignment
  • Provide architectural guidance to engineering teams to ensure integrations are buildable, testable, and operable
  • Define application and integration patterns including API design, service boundaries, and contract management
  • Ensure alignment with modern delivery practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps
  • Review designs and implementations to ensure engineering quality aligns with architectural intent
  • Presales & Client Engagement
  • Partner with Sales to drive solution design during pursuits, including integration discovery, architecture definition, and estimation
  • Contribute to proposals, statements of work, and executive‑level presentations
  • Clearly communicate integration trade‑offs, risks, and recommendations to client IT leadership and executives
  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients navigating complex, multi-system environments
  • Delivery Enablement & Governance
  • Partner with Delivery teams to ensure the integration architecture defined in presales is carried through execution
  • Provide ongoing architectural oversight and decision support during delivery
  • Identify integration risks early and drive mitigation strategies
  • Support customer satisfaction through clear, proactive communication across technical and business teams
  • Traveling up to 50% annually to support sales pursuits.
