About The Position

You will be based in our Dallas, Atlanta, or D.C. office and will be part of our Digital Procurement team. Specifically, you will be part of the Digital sourcing team - leaders and peers the team will work with you on a daily basis. This group is part of McKinsey's Product development and Procurement (PDP) service line. McKinsey has the world's largest Procurement consulting practice, serving over clients annually on procurement. McKinsey is also the world thought leader and the trend setter in this space.

Requirements

• Engineering degree.
• Strong proficiency in Excel (including vlookup, index-match, pivots).
• Understanding of and interest in purchasing, sourcing and saving opportunity identification.
• Solid problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong written/verbal communications skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge on variety of procurement technologies and sourcing solutions like Ariba, Zycus, Jaggaer, ScoutRFP, Coupa, TradeExtensions, Bravo solution, Ivalua, SynerTrade.
• Exposure to cutting edge procurement topics such as spend analysis and digital sourcing.
• Coding, Keelvar, statistics or data analysis background.

Responsibilities

• Help clients capture cost savings using digital sourcing tools.
• Consult clients as part of a large and diverse client service team.
• Drive end to end sourcing event strategy, event design, vendor negotiations and savings capture.
• Provide analytics support to deliver key insights on sourcing projects.
• Produce high quality results from solution assets.
• Ensure digital procurement assets, vendors, and processes adhere to standards.
