About The Position

The position involves working with Solids Control systems, including rig-ups, rig-downs, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs. The role requires a solid understanding of Solids Control and Vacuum Unit jobs, as well as the ability to analyze equipment effectively. The employee will be responsible for following proper sampling procedures, completing daily reports, and maintaining communication with customers, supervisors, and co-workers. A professional attitude and satisfactory rig etiquette are essential, along with the ability to train other employees and travel outside the hiring region when necessary. The position also requires maintaining a satisfactory driving record and demonstrating a willingness to complete general labor tasks as needed. Additionally, the employee must attain the necessary NOV WSS Core Training and maintain annual refresher training.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • Experience in the solids control field or similar mechanical experience, to be able to identify potential mechanical problems
  • Possess a satisfactory driving record
  • Must be able to pass background check, pre-placement physical, pulmonary function/FIT test, and substance abuse testing
  • Must be able to operate or be trained to operate heavy equipment such as a track hoe/back hoe in a safe manner
  • Must be able to operate or be trained to operate existing solids control line of equipment and or any new solids control technology introduced to the market

Responsibilities

  • Complete Solids Control rig-ups, rig-downs, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
  • Perform Solids Control Analysis of the equipment
  • Perform electrical rig-ups, rig downs, and minor repairs
  • Possess satisfactory knowledge of Solids Control and Vacuum Unit jobs
  • Follow the proper sampling procedure
  • Complete daily reports and communicate with customers, supervisors, and co-workers
  • Possess satisfactory rig etiquette and maintain a professional attitude
  • Train other employees and travel outside the hiring region when needed
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record per NOV's Driver Policy
  • Demonstrate a willingness to complete general labor tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor
  • Attain the necessary NOV WSS Core Training and maintain annual refresher training
