About The Position

The Solid Waste Transportation Foreman will coordinate with Senior Road Manager/ transfer station facility operators scheduling pickup and delivery of roll off containers and prepare designated routes to transport the containers. Schedule equipment for maintenance. Handle public complaints in regard to roll-off containers and convenience stations. Will be responsible for the supervision of Roll Off, and Solid Waste employees. In conjunction with Managerial duties, the employee will assist the road department in maintenance of county roads utilizing a variety of equipment and tools. The employee must perform all duties with minimal supervision. The employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and perform other duties as assigned. The employee must comply with the safety guidelines of the County and complete and pass a new-hire physical and drug screen. No illegal drug use within the last 3 years. This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Must regulate documentation and monitor equipment and assist other Public Works Management with budgetary functions.
