About The Position
The Solid Waste Inspector is responsible for patrolling public and private properties to identify unsanitary conditions and ensure compliance with the Solid Waste Ordinance and other relevant city laws. This role involves direct interaction with the public, conducting investigations, issuing citations, and maintaining records of compliance efforts. The inspector works under the general direction of the Superintendent of the Division of Solid Waste and may assist other departments with inspections.
