Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in the Solid Waste field.
• Minimum of one year operating a CDL vehicle.
• General knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Ability to perform safety inspections on vehicles in accordance with Federal CDL guidelines.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance on all solid waste equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word, knowledge of Access is a plus).
• Minimum of two years of face-to-face customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides solid waste collection with the use of sanitation collection vehicles.
• Performs routine vehicle/equipment maintenance.
• Operates wood chipper, delivers and exchanges refuse and recycling containers.
• Provides customer service by answering inquiries and instructing citizens on the proper disposal of waste.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
