About The Position

Incumbents perform semi-skilled activities in the Solid Waste Division. Incumbents operate light to heavy equipment such as solid waste collection equipment, loaders, and forklifts. Incumbents are responsible for providing solid waste collection services and educational information, and ensuring regulatory compliance for residential and commercial collection routes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of full-time sanitation, heavy truck, and/or construction equipment operations experience, or closely related work.
• Must have a valid Arizona Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class B or higher at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to heavy equipment such as solid waste collection equipment, loaders, and forklifts.
• Provide solid waste collection services.
• Deliver educational information regarding solid waste management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for residential and commercial collection routes.
