About The Position

About the Role The Solid Organ Transplant Data Specialist is responsible for collecting, storing, and tracking all current and historical data related to organ donors, pre-transplant patients, and transplant recipients. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and membership standards through accurate and timely data management.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of data entry experience (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with medical, nursing, and UNOS personnel.
  • Applicants for this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Systems Administration, or Medical Assisting.
  • 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, verify, and enter external test results into patient charts and transplant-related registries.
  • Compile and submit required data to the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), Organ Procurement Organizations, and other registries within specified timeframes.
  • Document all data submissions accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Obtain, evaluate, and analyze transplant data for reporting and quality improvement purposes.
