About The Position

Our client, a prestigious Federal contractor has an immediate 3-6 months contract for a Soldering technician top join their team Sterling, VA. You will be responsible to conduct all soldering and inspection work under a microscope for high precision. Currently. there are 250 boards with an additional 100+ boards expected from the field. Responsibilities: - Perform BGA removal, replacement ,and re-balling using hot air station. Preferable if experience in replacing eMMC chips. - Inspect PCB pads for damage or lifting before and after rework - Follow IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21) for electronic rework. - Maintain ESD-safe practices and a clean work environment. - Operate and maintain BGA rework stations. Required Skills - Must be US Citizen due to government requirement - Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust - 4 years related experience - Bachelor's degree is desired, but not required Required Skills: - Skilled in both through hole and surface mount micro soldering. - Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/21) for electronic rework. - Ability to sit for 8 hours a day. - Ability to work under deadlines - Ability to safely use hand tools and some basic power tools for specified tasks. - Soldering components on PCBs - Comfortable using a multimeter - Be able to consistently follow directions to complete assembly or configuration tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be US Citizen due to government requirement

Nice To Haves
