About The Position

The Soldering Technician / Electronics Assembler / Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly, soldering, inspection, and mechanical build of electronic and electromechanical assemblies in accordance with work instructions, drawings, and quality standards. This role supports production goals by delivering high-quality products on time while adhering to safety, ESD, and quality requirements. Requirements

  • Physical demands are those of a typical office/manufacturing environment.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 35 pounds.
  • Lifting and moving around components, carts, and boxes.
  • Must pass background check.
  • Must pass E-Verify.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components in accordance with IPC standards (IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 as applicable).
  • Assemble electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical subassemblies using drawings, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and work instructions.
  • Install hardware such as fasteners, brackets, standoffs, cable assemblies, and wiring harnesses.
  • Perform rework and repair of assemblies as required.
  • Conduct self-inspection and basic functional checks to ensure workmanship and quality requirements are met.
  • Follow ESD, safety, and cleanliness procedures at all times.
  • Accurately document work performed, including travelers, routers, and production records.
  • Utilize the CETEC ERP system to clock labor, review work orders, follow travelers, and record production activity.
  • Communicate issues related to quality, materials, documentation, or equipment to supervision.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality, efficiency, and workmanship.
  • Assist in cross-training and provide support to other production areas as needed.
