SUMMARY Performs inspection per IPC-A-610 standards, hand soldering operations, including minor solder repairs and standardized, repetitive electronic assembly operations.

Requirements

Basic reading, writing and math skills required (i.e., 8th grade level).
Basic PC skills required (i.e., keyboarding, mouse usage, Windows usage, opening and closing programs and files using MS Windows).

Responsibilities

Verifies documentation at workstation is correct
Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures and compares inspected circuit boards to drawings, visual aids or computerized data
Inserts parts into/on circuit boards according to documentation and places completed circuit boards into housings or fixtures
Inspects the accuracy of machine and manual placements of parts along with their solderability per IPC-A-610 Standards and internal documentation
Inspects in-process and finished production assemblies for conformance and accepts or rejects using IPC-A610 standards and internal documentation
Labels boards, fills out process control cards, uses a bar code scanner and enters data into MES
Audits material kits and orders from MRO as needed
Dispositions non-conforming materials
Maintains clean and organized work area using 5s guidelines
Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules
