SUMMARY Performs inspection per IPC-A-610 standards, hand soldering operations, including minor solder repairs and standardized, repetitive electronic assembly operations.

Requirements

  • Basic reading, writing and math skills required (i.e., 8th grade level).
  • Basic PC skills required (i.e., keyboarding, mouse usage, Windows usage, opening and closing programs and files using MS Windows).

Responsibilities

  • Verifies documentation at workstation is correct
  • Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures and compares inspected circuit boards to drawings, visual aids or computerized data
  • Inserts parts into/on circuit boards according to documentation and places completed circuit boards into housings or fixtures
  • Inspects the accuracy of machine and manual placements of parts along with their solderability per IPC-A-610 Standards and internal documentation
  • Inspects in-process and finished production assemblies for conformance and accepts or rejects using IPC-A610 standards and internal documentation
  • Labels boards, fills out process control cards, uses a bar code scanner and enters data into MES
  • Audits material kits and orders from MRO as needed
  • Dispositions non-conforming materials
  • Maintains clean and organized work area using 5s guidelines
  • Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules
