This Solder Touch-up Assembler position is located at our Lowell, MA facility. Purpose of the Job The Solder Touch-up Assembler ensures the quality and functionality of electronic assemblies by manually inspecting, repairing, and reworking solder joints and components on circuit boards. They identify and correct defects like insufficient solder, solder bridges, or misaligned components. This role is crucial for maintaining product reliability and preventing failures in electronic devices.

Requirements

  • Proficient in soldering techniques with experience in PCB assembly.
  • Strong understanding of electrical concepts and mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Nice To Haves

  • IPC-610 Solder Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and solder PCB (Printed Circuit Boards) according to specifications.
  • Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to ensure precise measurements and electrical integrity.
  • Read and interpret schematics to accurate components.
  • Conduct quality inspections on completed assemblies to verify adherence to standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
