This role is perfect for someone passionate about renewable energy and skilled in sales strategy, product expertise, and relationship building.
Requirements
- Experience: 1–2 years in sales and/or analysis.
- Previous experience in solar or renewable energy.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Skills: Strong sales aptitude and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to analyze data and maintain attention to detail.
- Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
Responsibilities
- Identify and secure solar opportunities, including modules, BOS, and peripheral equipment.
- Serve as the go-to product expert for solar equipment.
- Collaborate with materials and operations teams on inventory strategies.
- Build strong partnerships with manufacturers and reps to become their preferred channel partner.
- Represent Viking Electric at Sonepar Solar/Renewable Energy events and align with broader initiatives.
- Develop training materials to help our sales team identify solar opportunities.
- Perform all duties professionally and ethically in line with company policies.
