About The Position

Smith ranks eighth among all global electronic component distributors at $14 billion in global revenue since 2020 and an annual revenue in excess of $2.6 billion. Specifically on the solar side, we’re in need of a Sales Assistant to process orders for brand new, PV panels, inverters, batteries, storage and more. Provide daily operational support to the sales team by managing RFQs, preparing formal proposals and ensuring data in the CRM is accurate and up-to-date Lead the end-to-end administrative process for sales orders, including the creation and tracking of POs and SOs to ensure on-time fulfillment and customer satisfaction Be the primary liaison between sales, purchasing and operations to verify inventory availability, inspections and shipping timelines Manage the onboarding of new accounts with excellent follow through and detail tracking Maintain proactive communication with existing customers regarding order statuses, tracking numbers and logistics updates Ensure all transactions adhere to Smith’s standard SOPs and trade requirements

Requirements

  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage complex, multi-line-item orders without errors
  • A proactive mindset to identify potential logistical bottlenecks before they impact sales processes
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or two years in a sales support role
