The Removal & Reinstall Foreman will provide leadership and technical expertise for a solar removal and reinstallation crew. This position is crucial for ensuring the safety, quality, customer service, and productivity of each assigned solar installation project. As a working field position, the Foreman will lead a team of 2 to 3 members to successfully complete residential solar removals and reinstallations, as well as any necessary service work. The Foreman is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality while managing the workflow of the project effectively. In this role, the Foreman will be responsible for the successful removal and reinstallation of residential solar projects, which includes the installation of electrical systems that connect the solar array to the grid power of the customer's residential property. When assigned, the Foreman will also safely lead or assist in solar battery installations. The Foreman will organize, lead, and train crew members to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframes, ensuring attention to detail with an emphasis on safety, quality, customer service, and productivity. The Foreman will effectively manage all aspects of the construction workflow to drive productivity, ensuring that adequate materials and equipment are available to safely and efficiently complete projects. Maintaining project documentation and photo requirements is essential, as is demonstrating knowledge of OSHA standards related to photovoltaic installations and enforcing safety practices. The Foreman will check on the progress of installers every hour throughout the installation process and follow construction job flow procedures. Developing a positive working dynamic within the installation crew and branch co-workers is vital, as is maintaining consistent and appropriate communication with customers throughout the construction phase. The Foreman will also assist the crew on the roof as needed to ensure an efficient and high-quality installation, perform weekly vehicle inspections, ensure the accuracy of time sheets, provide constructability feedback to management, and perform service calls when necessary.
