The Electrical Technician will assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, with primary focus on the electrical portions, and will assist in the crew’s daily operations. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties and Responsibilities: Installs and assembles batteries and inverters Bends and installs EMT, FMC, PVC, and other conduit between equipment. Ensures that installations are performed according to plans. Works with Foreman to ensure the crew runs smoothly and efficiently. Follows building standards and codes when installing panels and support structures. Ensure that equipment layout and conduit runs are aesthetically pleasing. Assists in the installation of AC wiring and termination, and landing PV source circuits in inverters or controllers. Ensures that equipment is installed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Assist in any part of the installation required - roof included. Assists in getting the required pictures to document installation and for funding. Ensure that necessary material is pulled each day and that the vehicle is clean and well-stocked. Performs routine maintenance on PV systems. Performs other related duties as assigned.
