The E-Space Manufacturing Solar Team builds the world's most advanced aerospace products. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will build the world’s most advanced products. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineers to radically improve processes. Your ideas will be recognized through prototyping and production. Further, you will have frequent opportunities to bring your ideas to life. This position is based in Arlington, TX. In order to be successful in this role, you must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed. Occasional travel may be required as well.

Requirements

  • Inquisitive personality with an eye toward fine details.
  • Openness to learning new skills, concepts and technologies.
  • AS/BS in a STEM discipline, or similar experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and hands-on proficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS office package.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in design of experiments (DOE), metrology and/or failure analysis.
  • 3 or more years experience in semiconductor FABs.
  • Exposure to the function, characteristics and measurement of solar modules.
  • Familiarity of thin film deposition processes and techniques.
  • Degree(s) in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples, measure and document electrical and physical properties of solar materials.
  • Carry out DOEs.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation problems and issues.
  • Write and update SOPs and work instructions.
  • Assist engineers to clean, set up, maintain, and use semiconductor process equipment such as sputtering systems, PVD systems, liquid-based deposition systems, and/or characterization tools.
