Summary: Learn about the Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering space in one of ENGEO's labs! This internship is a fantastic way to get hands-on experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities: Perform soil and concrete laboratory tests, such as compaction curves, moisture/density, gradation, triaxial and R-value tests and some concrete compression testing. Effectively communicate test results to office and field personnel as well as client contacts. Assist professional staff in supplying and maintaining field equipment. Assist professional staff in materials storage and disposal. Prepares lab documents for internal client's compression testing of concrete. Pick up soil and concrete samples from various project sites. A successful candidate be able to follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and build and maintain strong relationships with co-workers, clients, contractors, etc. Additionally, the candidate must have clear and concise verbal/written communication and computer skills, the ability to perform with moderate supervision and perform various tasks independently at the discretion of the supervisor. Lab work involves strenuous activity.
