About The Position

The Soil and Crop Modeling (SCM) team develops advanced simulation technologies that provide critical support for product development across CNH Industrial's global platforms. Using computational tools such as Discrete-Element Method (DEM), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Multi-Body Dynamics (MBD), and System Modeling (SYSM), the team models complex interactions between soil, crops, and machinery to accelerate innovation and improve product performance. As a Soil & Crop Modeling Engineering Intern - Combine Harvester, you will focus on developing and validating simulation models that improve the accuracy of crop flow analysis in combine harvesters. This role combines laboratory testing, simulation modeling, and validation work to directly influence next-generation harvesting technology.

Requirements

• Candidates may be pursuing an Associates, Technical, Bachelor's, or Post-graduate degree in Agricultural Engineering, Biosystem Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development of virtual crop and cutting models for combine cleaning and residue subsystems
• Performing laboratory characterization tests to measure crop and machine interaction properties
• Calibrating simulation models to replicate crop flow dynamics within harvesting subsystems
• Validating models by comparing simulation predictions with industrial-scale test data
• Preparing a final report and presentation of your work to share with crop flow modeling engineers and design teams
• Collaborating with SCM and design engineers to ensure models provide meaningful, actionable insights
