About The Position

Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and interested in helping build the foundations of our communities? Join Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) as a Soil & Concrete Laboratory Technician in our Construction Observation & Testing Division! In this role, you'll work closely with our Lab Manager and field teams to perform a variety of laboratory tests that ensure the quality and integrity of soil, concrete, and construction materials used in real-world projects.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Eagerness to learn and achieve certifications within 90 days of hire
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Comfortable lifting 50 lbs regularly
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry, record keeping, and test reporting with accuracy.
• Learn and apply ASTM, AASHTO, and other industry-standard test procedures.
• Conduct lab tests on construction materials, including Standard & Modified Proctors, Sieve analyses, Plasticity index tests, Soil classification.
• Prep and test concrete cylinders, cores, and masonry for compressive strength.
• Break cylinders, prisms, and cubes of concrete and masonry to evaluate performance.
• Maintain and calibrate lab and field equipment.
• Perform calculations and assist with data checks under the supervision of the Lab Supervisor.
