About The Position

The Software Testing and Requirement Services (STARS) section within OIS supports the development, enhancement, and delivery of high‑quality IT solutions across ODJFS applications. The STARS Business Associate contributes to clear and accurate requirements development, consistent project coordination, and effective communication between business partners and technical teams. This role helps ensure that system updates are aligned with program needs, regulatory requirements, and user expectations, strengthening overall solution quality and improving project outcomes across the Agency. Duties include but are not limited to: Gather and analyze business requirements in collaboration with system users and project stakeholders. Facilitate requirements‑gathering sessions, document business problems, and capture technical and workflow details. Create and review process and flow diagrams to support solution design, decision‑making, and project clarity. Translate program policies, state and federal regulations, and user needs into clear and actionable business and technical requirements. Validate requirements for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and project teams to support communication, clarify expectations, and promote successful collaboration. Contribute to cross‑application analysis and planning efforts to reduce project delays and support timely delivery of system enhancements.

Requirements

  • Option 1: 36 months work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions.
  • Option 2: 18 months work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions. Completion of Associate's core program in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Option 3: 12 months work experience in any combination of the following: creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects and procedures, working with business users and technical staff to develop strategies and leading modification or creation of new systems for implementation of information technology solutions. Completion of undergraduate core program in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Option 4: Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
