SAIC is seeking a Software Tester to join a team of software, test, and systems engineers who develop, test, and maintain the Joint Network Design Aid (JNDA) software in Huntsville, AL . JNDA is a Windows-based desktop application used to design Link-16 networks and generate associated output files. The candidate will work on an Agile Scrum team in a largely self-directed but collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science with two (2) years of relevant experience; Six (6) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle)
• Must possess an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required
• Two (2) years' of software testing, quality assurance, or related experience
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar)
• Basic experience with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Ability to think critically and logically to identify test scenarios and edge cases
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including bug reporting and documentation
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with automated testing tools such as SmartBear TestComplete, Selenium, or similar
• Experience creating manual test cases and executing test plans
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

Responsibilities

• Develop test criteria and test steps to ensure software is functioning properly
• Develop automated tests using SmartBear TestComplete
• Coordinate with developers to report bugs and provide feedback
• Execute regression tests regularly and report issues promptly
• Investigate test failures and document clear steps to reproduce them
• Provide feedback on user interface design
• Participate in Scrum events, including sprint planning, sprint reviews/demonstrations, and daily stand-ups
