About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our Agile team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the functionality, reliability, and performance of our applications by executing creating and executing tests, reporting on findings, and collaborating with developers. Your expertise will help us maintain high standards of quality and enhanced user experiences. This is a hybrid position located in Fredericksburg, VA, allowing for 2 days of telework per week. Applicants must live within commutable distance and be willing to work on-site at our Fredericksburg office. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
3+ years experience in software testing or quality assurance, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies
Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with manual testing and automated testing frameworks
An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position.
US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and participation in Agile development teams
Basic programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation
Understanding of RESTful APIs and ability to perform API testing
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools
Familiarity with web application testing, including UI/UX best practices

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test cases.
Collaborate with developers and Product Owners to understand application requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
Identify, document, and track software defects using Azure DevOps tools.
Perform various testing types: functional, regression, integration, usability, and performance testing.
Participate in design discussions to provide input on quality and testing approaches.
Maintain testing documentation and provide reports on testing progress and software quality.
Participate in Agile ceremonies.
