What you will do: In this role you will provide support to Navy development programs and will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of manual and automated test cases for the software applications under development. You will frequently assist with the management and improvements to our software applications and will work with our software development team to ensure issues are resolved. V2X seeks a results-driven Software Test Engineer to join our software development and design teams working to develop advanced systems specializing in spectrum sharing, spectrum control, interference deconfliction, and automated system control. These applications may be specific to afloat Navy vessels and systems. Candidate experience with afloat Navy combat, EW, radar, or other C4ISR systems is beneficial. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM related field.
Three (3) years’ experience writing test procedures and developing test plans, configuring systems to accomplish testing, and drafting test reports and performance metrics.
Two (2) years’ experience writing and performing functional, performance, and regression testing of software products.
Two (2) years’ experience in developing and executing systems level tests for military hardware/software systems.
Two (2) years’ experience working in an Agile scrum development process.
Two (2) years’ experience using lifecycle management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
Experience using Jira or another bug/issue tracking tool.
Active SECRET level security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in developing and executing systems level tests for Navy electromagnetic spectrum software.
an active SECRET clearance is preferred.
Candidate experience with afloat Navy combat, EW, radar, or other C4ISR systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Design and develop manual and automated test cases based on requirements.
Executing tests on software usability to ensure the quality of the product.
Analyze and document test results.
Analyze, document, and report on all aspects of the software testing, including bugs, errors, usability, impact, and performance.
Prepare reports on all aspects related to the software testing.
Work with developers and IT staff to oversee code releases.
Assist with the administration and management of digital pipelines (CI / CD pipelines).
Configure the DevOps environment, such as work tracking tools and source control management.
Assist with the integration of other DevOps tools to support the software development process.
Research and integrate new tools.
Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
Participate in project meetings including Agile/Scrum grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily stand-ups.
Collaborate with an agile software development process with software engineers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
