We're seeking a Software Test Engineer to pay a key role in our cloud transformation efforts for the United States Coast Guard at C5ISC in Alexandria, VA. You'll support migrations and modernization of legacy mission-critical capabilities of the Coast Guard operations to the Coast Guard’s Mission Cloud. Ready to architect solutions that matter? As a Software Test Engineer you will have the opportunity to design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products. Applies appropriate principles, standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the software development life cycle. Duties include software requirements analysis, development of software products and tools used for design, development and maintenance of infrastructure, and platforms. Primary Tasks: Participate in program Agile initiatives to support innovation and enhancement of infrastructure automation and maintenance through iteration/functionality testing within a cloud environment. Collaborate with team members (Scrum Master, Cloud Engineer, DevSecOps) to develop test approaches with emphasis on automation of recurring/regression test cases through selected toolsets Leverage DevOps practices to ensure repeatability and Configuration Management of test cases/scripts are maintained and continuously improved Develop and document end-to-end functionality test case narratives using task management system (JIRA/Confluence) and support performance testing/evaluation activities.
