MANTECH seeks a motivated, mission-focused Software Test Engineer to join our team in Hanover, MD . As part of a dynamic team, you will support software development initiatives for a mission-critical organization within the Intelligence Community, focused on secure and reliable data dissemination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or electrical engineering with 12 years of experience OR 8 years of experience with a Master's Degree in software engineering, computer science or electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in Java, C/C++, or C#.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constant operation of a computer and other standard office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
  • Frequent communication with co-workers, management, and customers; may involve delivering presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze source code using automated Software Assurance (SwA) tools and collaborate with team members on assessment results.
  • Develop and execute test methodologies, scoring criteria, and test cases to support SwA tool analysis.
  • Perform software testing and interface with clients to recommend effective remediation strategies.
  • Create technical documentation and comprehensive test reports.
  • Utilize, fine-tune, and evaluate the suitability of SwA tools for specific customer environments.
  • Interpret SwA tool results to detect vulnerabilities and drive secure coding practices.
  • Research and assess emerging SwA tools and methodologies to enhance software security analysis.
