Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program. The Software Tech Lead will work closely under the Software Lead and help to lead software development activities. Candidate will need to have experience with RF Signal Data Processing as well as various coding languages, CI/CD pipelines, Agile processes and the Atlassian tool suite. This position will be at our site either in Linthicum, Maryland, or Morrisville, North Carolina. This position requires being on-site and does not support remote or hybrid work. This position is contingent upon the verification and transfer of current/active DoD security clearance and program access as required for business needs.

  • Lead software development activities under the guidance of the Software Lead.
  • Work on RF Signal Data Processing.
  • Utilize various coding languages including C/C++/Python/Java.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines in DevSecOps environments.
  • Apply Agile methodologies in software development.
  • Use the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for project management.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's degree.
  • 6 years of relevant experience with a completed Master's degree.
  • 4 years of relevant experience with a completed PhD.
  • 10 years of relevant software engineering experience with a completed associate’s degree.
  • 12 years of relevant software engineering experience in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required).
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Experience with C/C++/Python/Java.
  • Experience with DevSecOps environments in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile programs and methodology.
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with Gitlab.
