About Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) The CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar) develops positioning, control, and automation products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries, using technologies such as GNSS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics. The products are used in a range of applications where the operator of the machine benefits from having accurate horizontal and vertical guidance. What Makes This Role Great: In this role, you will be at the forefront of the Machine System - Integration and Commissioning group, directly influencing the deployment of next-generation grade control products and shaping the future of autonomous and integrated heavy machinery.

Requirements

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • You bring 5+ years of experience in various Engineering roles with a deep understanding of product development.
  • You are a natural leader with the ability to provide technical direction and supervision to a professional staff.
  • You possess strong project management and organizational skills to meet time, cost, and quality targets.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience leading software development teams, including coaching and conflict management.
  • Technical proficiency in C++ and Web/Angular development.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) development and utilizing AI tools for software engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of software engineers, UX designers, and specialists to foster a culture of collaborative innovation.
  • Spearhead the development of integrated machine system software that enables interoperability across global heavy equipment platforms.
  • Drive engineering excellence by growing a culture of innovative efficiency through the implementation of cutting-edge AI tools.
  • Own the software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality product maintenance and new product introductions are delivered predictably.
  • Establish and execute team-level strategies to solve complex technical challenges for critical construction technologies.
