We have an immediate need for an onsite Software Systems Quality Engineer (Quality Assurance/Compliance) to support Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS). Within Quality & Mission Assurance, the Software Quality Engineering department (SWQE) performs classified activities in secure labs and unclassified activities in dedicated workspaces.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and two (2) years of Quality or Engineering Experience.
  • 2 years' working experience in a Quality or Technical role applying advanced concepts across at least THREE of the following: Compliance Evaluation, Requirements Verification, Release Management, Test Witnessing, Software Processes, Defect Management, Records Management, Integration, Maintenance Processes, Technology.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Security Clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience identifying Root Cause of process issues and implementing Corrective Actions.
  • Experience defining, developing, monitoring, measuring, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM teams, sprints/increments, stories/points, backlog/burndown and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
  • Experience creating and presenting Senior Management briefings.
  • Experience with Quality concepts via AS9115, AS9100, ISO9001.
  • Experience Integrating Dev. Environment (IDE) applications, modeling, or databases (ClearCase, DOORS, RQM, Cameo, Rhapsody, Oracle, SAP).
  • Experience with Toolchains (Jira, Confluence, ADS, Jenkins, GitHub, Coverity).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure digital products adhere to contractual requirements.
  • Review and approve inputs/outputs to/from partner organizations.
  • Perform independent evaluations and risk assessments across lifecycle.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Ensure integrity of the technical data package.
  • Identify, collect, and measure software quality attributes, metrics, and data.
  • Interact with customers, product development, and test personnel.
  • Provide guidance to senior management, team members, and group peers.
  • Leverage modern experiences with software development and quality best practices.
  • Adopt Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
