Software Systems Management Lead
About The Position
Client Agency is Custom & Border Protection Perform complex technical efforts in specialty area by serving either as senior technical staff member on a large project or as a leader of a small, specialized project. Other functions are to provide, within the specialty area, quick response problem resolution, internal and external training, and marketing support to translate advanced technology theory into specific, practical applications of use for the corporation. Candidate performs high-level studies, analysis and evaluations of recent designs, integrations, documentation and implementation of similar complex projects. SME will prepare technical reports and related documentation, charts, graphs and flowcharts to record results as required. Serve as source of broad general knowledge of systems engineering, systems analysis and design, software integration, configuration management, and software development with an in-depth expertise in at least one of these areas. Monitors each task and keeps the Stakeholders abreast of all problems and accomplishments. Anticipates problems and works to mitigate the anticipated problems. As a project leader, provides technical direction for the complete systems development effort. May serve as a technical authority for a design area. As a staff specialist or consultant, resolves unique and unyielding systems problems using new technology. Can complete tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints. Schedules and assigns duties to subordinates. Interacts with government management personnel. Reports in writing and orally to contractor management and government representatives, including the government contracting officer. Participates as high-level technical expert in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them and produce quality deliverables.
Requirements
- Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ten (10) years relevant experience.
- Requires knowledge in specific professional technical field (such as artificial intelligence, statistics, electronics, computer science, mathematics, or physics) to define and solve new information processing system problems, develop engineering designs, and conduct analyses and experiments in the area of discipline.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
