We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Software Systems Engineer. This position will conduct software development in support of Operational Testing on ground-based missile warning systems, optical sensors and space-based assets to assess system performance across the entire architecture using real-world and simulated environments. Apply the principles of software engineering for design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation. Conduct operationally realistic testing to identify strengths and weak points in the architecture. Determine interrelationship factors that can adversely affect system effectiveness. Analyze recorded data collected during test evaluations and report out independent findings as prescribed by customer guidance. Create Test Execution Procedures to clearly identify expected operator and test actions during the test events. Generate detailed test reports containing statistical results table and graphs, written findings, deficiency identification, and fielding recommendations. Work with a cohesive team of Test Engineers to accomplish operational test planning, executing, analyzing, and reporting on ground-based missile warning systems to ensure installed system upgrades operate as expected and accomplish mission needs. Confer with other test team members on the acceptability of the test design and analysis results, and provide feedback on other test activities accomplished within the team.
