About The Position

SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN IV SUMMARY: Field Service Technician Senior, DCGS-A – Camp Humphreys, South Korea - TS/SCI Clearance Required. Primarily supports software for the DCGS-Army Family of Systems: IFS, P-MFWS, GWS, TGS, CDSS How the Software Support Representative, Tactical Intelligence Family of Systems will make an impact: Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit maintainer to Initialize, place into operation and troubleshoot the software interfaces of specific C5ISR communication systems being supported (ex. IFS /P-MFWS/GWS/TGS/CDSS). Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit maintainer on software installations, configurations, patching and maintenance of DCGS-A family of systems. Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit maintainer for backup and disaster recovery of Linux and Windows operating systems. Provide informal over-the-shoulder training and software mentorship to MIL/GOV personnel. Provide software, network troubleshooting, problem identification, and resolution. Provide technical guidance and over the shoulder assistance to unit to Assist with remote system administration software to include troubleshooting and installation. Assists Information Assurance staff with all documentation required for accreditation and any other associated directives and regulations. Participates in special projects as required. Prepares weekly/bi-weekly reports for customers Provides Commanders and Staff with recommendations on how to best leverage mission command Intel platforms to meet their operational needs. Attend G2 and S6 briefings and participate in conference calls to identify issues with Intel platforms.

Requirements

  • AA/AS, 5+ years’ experience. (2 years of additional work experience may be substituted for an AA/AS. Degree)
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and willing to obtain a CI Poly if required.
  • Valid CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows/Linux/VMWare server and client software, patching, upgrading, and maintaining.
  • Understanding of networking principles and system network configuration.
  • Professional and effective writing and communication skills are required.
