We’re looking for a Software Solutions Developer to work at Burke Headquarters and be part of our great team! This is an on-site role in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. What Moves You? We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team in Burke, where you will support and enhance our 3D configurator built on the .NET and Autodesk platform. This tool is essential for our team of designers as they create innovative, world-class playgrounds. As a Software Solutions Developer, you will play a crucial role in bringing fun and inclusive playgrounds to life.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in full-stack software development, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Proficiency in Java/Groovy development.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Git version control.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and frameworks such as Vue.js 3 or similar.
  • Familiarity or interest in CAD-based software or Autodesk platforms is a plus.
  • Experience integrating identity providers (Auth0 or similar).
  • Experience developing in Azure or other cloud environments.
  • Strong time management, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Understanding of UI/UX best practices.
  • Object-oriented design and database development skills.
  • Experience integrating with ERP and design software preferred.
  • Must have a professional style and the ability to analyze project requirements to determine the most effective technical approach.
  • Capable of developing, implementing, and adhering to company software standards.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cloud-based, cross-functional environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, safety, and user satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support the Representative Interaction platform, Burke’s playground design software and related business systems.
  • Develop solutions to integrate proprietary design tools, ERP systems, and other enterprise applications.
  • Ensure software performance, usability, and scalability through continuous improvement and refactoring.
  • Collaborate with designers, product owners, software development, and IT teams to integrate software solutions with existing manufacturing and business processes.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and data exchange mechanisms to support connected systems.
  • Create automated tools and workflows that streamline representative engagement, quoting, and sales processes.
  • Develop automation and optimization features that connect our playground design software outputs to the Representative Interaction platform for a unified user experience.
  • Contribute to intuitive UI/UX development that supports a seamless, one-stop experience for global representatives.
  • Apply front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js 3 or similar) to deliver modern, responsive interfaces.
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for deployed software.
  • Identify and resolve issues quickly to minimize disruption to business operations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and product owners to gather requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in agile planning, sprint reviews, and code reviews to ensure high-quality outcomes and timely project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain database solutions and reporting tools that support informed decision-making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
