Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon Software Security Sensors and Effectors (S3E) Department is looking for a Software Engineer in Tucson, AZ. Our mission is to provide world class Security Software to be used in deployed missile systems. Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, and integrate capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers. We strive for technical excellence by drawing upon a workforce whose knowledge base covers the complete spectrum of modern computing languages and platforms. This position requires the interest and ability to learn real-time software design and the performance implications associated with specific System Security implementations. This position is a full-time onsite role in Tucson AZ.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding Internships).
  • Experience with C / C++
  • Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

  • As a System Security software engineer, you will be involved with application and embedded software design, development, integration, and testing of real-time missile software.
  • Learn and apply System Security principles to the design and implementation of Missile software applications.
  • Develop software applications using C and C++ languages on a variety of computing platforms
  • Understand real-time software design and the performance implications associated with specific System Security implementations.
  • Work closely with the Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements.
  • Work in a common development environment to support and facilitate program ability to leverage specific capabilities.
