You will be the Software Quality Engineer Sr for the Lockheed Martin team in Chelmsford, MA. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Systems & Software Quality Engineering (SSQE) common processes that align with AS9100 Quality Management System, Capability Maturity Model-Integrated (CMMI), Program, and customer requirements. As the Software Quality Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including systems and software development, test and evaluation, and project management, to ensure high-quality software solutions. You will play a critical role in driving quality engineering processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

  • Develop and maintain SSQE common processes aligned with AS9100, CMMI, and program requirements
  • Interface with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers to ensure quality engineering processes are implemented
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate program risks and ensure delivery milestone schedules are met
  • Utilize excellent customer interface and presentation skills to communicate quality engineering processes and results
  • Work effectively in a team environment, leveraging interpersonal skills to drive quality engineering initiatives
  • STEM degree at Bachelors level or higher, preferably in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance
  • Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
  • Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction
  • Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics
  • Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
  • Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
  • Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
  • Bachelors degree in a STEM related field or higher highly preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering discipline
  • Ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize task based on importance
  • Ability to review, interpret and apply specifications to determine compliance with requirements
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Effective communication skills - written, oral, listening, presentation and technical writing
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools
  • ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
