This requisition is for a Software (SW) Quality Engineer supporting the F-35 line of business for the Lockheed Martin (LM) Aeronautics company in Orlando, FL. This position reports directly to the F-35 Autonomic Logistics Information System / Operational Data Integrated Network (ALIS/ODIN) Senior Quality Manager. The individual must be able to work with only general supervision, be comfortable communicating to all levels of leadership (both internal & external) and have developed SW Quality Engineering skills. This position may require occasional business travel. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Facilitate/assist in the identification of root causes and associated corrective actions, evaluate process/product performance (via internal audit), support continuous improvement efforts, and participate/interface with the engineering and sustainment communities and customer (as required) on program activities to ensure processes and products are compliant to contractual requirements. Provide SW QA support for program peer reviews, SW audits, regression testing, integration & test, and functional sell-off. Ability to develop and analyze SW quality metrics Support other SW Quality Engineers as needed Interface with the customer on program activities to ensure processes and products are compliant to contractual requirements and company policies and procedures. Support ALIS/ODIN Quality in all activities as they relate to the Quality Management System (QMS), AS9100 compliance/certification, Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and the process audit program. Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
  • Experience in system/software dependencies, process flow and development methodologies
  • Experience supporting System & Software Engineering requirements, design, integration and test activities in an Agile Development Framework (in particular DevSecOps) as an active team member/participant
  • Experienced in Root Cause Analysis methodologies and development of Corrective Action Plans and facilitating RCCA events
  • Ability to conduct and document process audits and evaluations.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position supports a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma (LSS) principles
  • Knowledge of with AS9100, ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and Standards
  • Experience and/or prior background with logistics information systems programs or large scale transactional software systems
  • LSS Black Belt or Green Belt Certification
  • Experienced communicator (written & verbal)
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance, after hire
