About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Software Quality Engineer II to join our dynamic team in a hybrid work setting, requiring on-site presence at least three days per week in Waltham, MA. This role involves working closely with developers in an Agile environment to ensure the quality and functionality of a 3D mapping and navigation system used in cardiac electrophysiology procedures. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in both manual and automated testing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience or a Master's degree with 1 year of experience in software testing or a related field, preferably in Computer Science or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Programming experience in Python.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium and Squish.
  • Proficiency with source code management tools like Git and BitBucket.
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the medical device domain is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of test automation under Linux/Unix environments.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex software and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with ISO and FDA documentation and compliance for medical devices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases to ensure product quality, verifying system functionality, and meeting business and user requirements in the electrophysiology domain.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing, including creating and executing test scripts.
  • Debug and resolve issues related to automated test scripts and the automation framework.
  • Execute automation runs to test JIRA items and coordinate with multiple scrum teams.
  • Design and develop new websites to support test automation.
  • Document test results, write test reports, and report bugs and enhancements in a bug tracking system.
  • Share knowledge and demonstrate product areas to team members as needed.
  • Assist in determining test methodology, strategy, and data setup.
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings, product review meetings, and bug triage meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with software development, hardware engineering, and field support teams.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems and requirements.
